About the MLRA
Our objectives
The Muizenberg & Lakeside Residents Association represents the interests of residents and ratepayers in our area. Among the Association's objectives is lobbying the City of Cape Town, other local authorities, and organisations on matters affecting the community — an objective of the Association as a whole, not of any individual office-bearer.
How we are governed
The MLRA is governed by its Constitution and run by an Executive Committee elected by the membership. The Executive Committee collectively manages the affairs of the Association. Individual office-bearers are responsible for their respective portfolios and functions, but do not replace or override the authority of the Executive Committee.
Matters affecting the Association's position — including formal representations to the City of Cape Town or other authorities — are considered and authorised by the Executive Committee, unless the Committee has specifically delegated that authority.
